• Activity Details :

As part of our continued efforts to increase and provide service reliability, we filed a change request to conduct a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for network failover testing at our Alabang office scheduled for February 2, 2025. During the maintenance activity there will be a series of network and internet interruptions on both LAN/wired and wireless.

Steps have been taken to ensure that minimal to no users are affected during this activity.

Another advisory will be sent once this maintenance has been completed.

As part of the continued efforts to increase service availability and network performance, we will be conducting a hardware upgrade at SMT Pampanga from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on the 2nd day of February 2025.

During the maintenance window, we are expecting an impact of intermittent connectivity for 2 hours. This will be impacting all users within the site.

Our facilities and building administration will be having a power maintenance at SCT. This is necessary to allow for the topping of the electrical provision for the SM Admin Office on the 3rd floor of Tech Hub 4.

We recommend that all sensitive electronic equipment be properly shut down and secured before the scheduled interruption to avoid potential damage or data loss. Power will be restored promptly after the work is completed.

Hi Team,

Due to security issues, we will be initiating wireless network maintenance to be performed on the SM MegaTower office #EmaptaMegaTower SSID on February 1, 2025, (Saturday) 9:00 AM.

The stated wireless network #EmaptaMegaTower will be decommissioned for the site. We are encouraging all our users to connect to our standard wireless network #EmaptaExperience. In order to connect to the EMAPTA wireless network, please use the #EmaptaExperience SSID and log in using your current Empower credentials.

Rest assured, connecting to the #EmaptaExperience network will be seamless as long as your password is not expired and have not been locked out due to multiple failed attempts.

• Event : Unplanned Site to Datacenter Interruption at Asian Star Building (ASB-Alabang)

• Incident : January 27, 2025 (Monday) | 3:18 PM to 5:12 PM - Mitigated

• Activity Details : We have observed that one of our sites to data center circuit were experiencing high latencies resulting to slow connectivity on the general internet access for our user’s onsite on both wired and wireless connection.

To mitigate this kind of disruption, we have disable the affected site circuit uplink to force the connection to our other available site to data center circuit serving as a backup.

We have reported this to our provider for their further investigation.
