As part of the ongoing efforts to provide an enhanced security and protection to our network, one of our service providers will conduct a Next Generation Firewall Upgrade on July 26, 2025, from 12:00 AM – 06:00 AM (PHT).

During the maintenance window, we expect a minimal to no impact on internet and network connectivity as automatic failover mechanisms are in place to ensure service continuity.

• Event: New Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Installation

• Activity Details:

Hi Team,

Our systems engineering and administration team will be installing a New Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to replace the old UPS to avoid and mitigate the risk of power issues on our networking devices.

During the maintenance window, brief interruptions may occur as we replace the UPS units one at a time to minimize interruption and to ensure network and internet availability. Please note that users connected via Wired/LAN may experience temporary disruptions.

As a temporary alternative, we recommend connecting to #EmaptaExperience Wireless SSID to maintain internet access during the said activity.

• Update: We have received a notification from our Facilities Admin that our NTB office experienced a power outage on July 7, 2023, at approximately 8:45 AM. The power outage was caused by a disconnected fuse link, and it was determined that the transformers were damaged. BENECO is still working on replacing the transformer with the same specifications. Meanwhile, the building is powered by two backup generators. Since last Friday, our BA has been alternating between its two backup generators to prevent the genset from overheating.

Power fluctuations are to be expected at NTB site during switching of generator set.

The building's power source is currently powered by a generator, and the impact is expected to be minimal.
