Hi Team,

As part of on-going efforts to improve service reliability and network availability, one of our service providers will conduct maintenance to install an additional uninterruptible power supply on their network equipment.

During the maintenance window, a maximum of 2 hours interruption on one of our OSB Site to Datacenter Circuit is expected. However, due to the configuration of our network having backup circuits, we expect only a partial impact on internet and network connectivity as we have automatic failovers in place.

During the failover process, you may experience brief disruptions on any of the following below:

  • Choppy or Dropped VoIP Calls – Poor audio quality, delays, or dropped calls on platforms like Zoom, Teams, or Skype.
  • Delayed Emails & Messages – Slower delivery of emails (Outlook, Gmail) and messages in chat apps like Slack and Teams.
  • Latency Issues – Delays in response times, particularly for real-time applications.
  • Remote Desktop (RDP) Disruptions – Lag, session timeouts, or disconnections when accessing remote systems.

[09/06/2022 | 1:55 PM PHT] • As part of our continuous effort to provide service reliability, we filed a change request to conduct an Infrastructure Risk Analysis and Mitigation Plan at JKB Building Makati on September 10, 2022 (Saturday) from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The purpose of the activity is to simulate BCP failover testing on our site. The whole site will be experiencing intermittent LAN and internet connectivity during the maintenance period.

We're still in coordination with the building admin in GELDC to get the root cause of this outage. [06/09/2022 | 9:59 PM] • Providing an update on the incident, our team completed the replacement of the SFP transceiver on one of our network devices in PNB that might cause of network issue earlier this morning. We will still keep on monitoring if the issue re-occurs.

[06/09/2022 | 8:38 AM] • Please be advised that we have observed a network anomaly that is causing a network outage at site PNB. We are currently investigating the root cause of the network issue and will provide updates as soon as they are available.

[09/07/2022 | 2:00 PM PHT] • Please be advised that the restoration was completed around 10:25 PM on September 6, 2022. We will keep on monitoring the stability of the circuit.

[09/06/2022 | 9:15 PM PHT] • Per our ISP's Field Team, the restoration is currently on hold due to the inclement weather. No new ETR was provided. We will keep on monitoring and provide updates when available.

[09/06/2022 | 3:23 PM PHT] • Please be advised that there is an ongoing network and internet incident confirmed by our service provider. Our service provider has advised of a fiber cable cut located in Makati. Minimal impact to operations is expected as traffic has already been re-routed to an alternate path. As of 3:16 PM, the provider’s field team is preparing to conduct repair activities at the location of the fault and the estimated time of restoration is 7:00 PM PHT.

[01/09/2022 | 6:40 AM] • Please be advised that there will be scheduled maintenance on September 5, 2022, to be conducted by one of our Internet Service Providers. The maintenance window will be from 12:30 AM to 7:59 AM (PHT). • Our service provider will be performing a reconfiguration/repair. • During the maintenance window, our service provider advised us of an expected impact of 50ms switch hits plus loss of protection within the change window.

[23/09/2022 | 6:33 PM] Please be advised that our upstream provider has changed the scheduled maintenance end time to October 2, 2022, at 7:59 AM (PHT). We have also monitored the NCP IPLC circuit down Today, September 23, 2022, around 5:18 PM PHT, and was restored around 5:24 PM, this is due to the loss of protection impact of this maintenance. Due to the way the network is set up, no impact should be monitored as the traffic was already forced to the VPN connection before.
