• Activity Details:

Hi Team,

As part of on-going efforts to improve service reliability and network availability, one of our service providers will conduct maintenance to install an additional uninterruptible power supply on their network equipment.

During the maintenance window, a maximum of 2 hours interruption on one of our OSB Site to Datacenter Circuit is expected. However, due to the configuration of our network having backup circuits, we expect only a partial impact on internet and network connectivity as we have automatic failovers in place.

During the failover process, you may experience brief disruptions on any of the following below:

  • Choppy or Dropped VoIP Calls – Poor audio quality, delays, or dropped calls on platforms like Zoom, Teams, or Skype.
  • Delayed Emails & Messages – Slower delivery of emails (Outlook, Gmail) and messages in chat apps like Slack and Teams.
  • Latency Issues – Delays in response times, particularly for real-time applications.
  • Remote Desktop (RDP) Disruptions – Lag, session timeouts, or disconnections when accessing remote systems.

[09/14/2022 | 6:16 PM PHT] • As part of our continuous effort to provide service reliability, we filed a change request to conduct an Infrastructure Risk Analysis and Mitigation Plan at Orient Square Building (OSB), Ortigas on September 24, 2022 (Saturday) from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The purpose of the activity is to simulate BCP failover testing on our site. The whole site will be experiencing intermittent LAN and internet connectivity during the maintenance period.

The maintenance window will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (PHT). Our service provider will be conducting a migration on their existing network. During the maintenance window, our service provider has advised us of an expected impact of 50ms switch hits.
