The planned maintenance will focus on PNB traffic migration from Core switch to SDWAN uplink.

During the maintenance, we are expecting a possible disconnection to the network for both wired & wireless. The impact is isolated per target VLAN during the migration.

Please be informed that we will be conducting a planned network maintenance at our TIP site from 8:00 AM 6:00 PM on October 13, 2024.

The planned maintenance will focus on TIP traffic migration from Core switch to SDWAN uplink.

During the maintenance, we are expecting a possible disconnection to the network for both wired & wireless. The impact is isolated per target VLAN during the migration.

• Event : Planned | Generator Testing with System Adjustment Maintenance at IBM Plaza

• Schedule : October 5, 2024 (Monday) | 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (PH Time Zone)

• Activity Details :

Our facilities and building admin will be conducting another round of load testing due to a technical adjustment needed on their Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).

This adjustment is essential and cannot be rescheduled to ensure the system’s long-term reliability and efficiency and prevent any potential futures issues.

During these test, IBM Site may experience minor power fluctuations as they transfer normal power to emergency power, and vice versa. We kindly advise you to remind your employees to save their work before the schedule time of the testing and to avoid any unsaved work until the building has fully returned to normal power.

Additionally: elevator will be temporarily out of service at 9:50 AM during the transfer to emergency Power and will be back shortly afterward. and , once the test is completed the elevator will be out of service again to allow for the transfer back to normal.

Note: This is a non-service impacting on our network devices at IBM site as we have an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to sustain the power in the event of minor power fluctuations.

• Activity Details Our service provider field engineers have restored our circuit and it’s been monitored UP and stable for more than one (1) hour and subject for further stability monitoring.

This is to update that the fault was found out be due to an ongoing project of MMDA and their contractor at the intersection of Shaw Blvd, San Miguel Ave. and Sheridan St.

Due to the severity, scope of impact, and busy nature of the fault area, ETR has been extended to October 5, 2024 12:00PM.

This is to update that the actual fiber optic cable fault happens to fall within Mandaluyong City area which requires work permit for cable laying/replacement activities.

We apologize for the delay, as per our service provider that they have conducted isolation and shows a fiber optic cable break 1.8km from the building node facing Garnete CO, their field engineers will deploy on the fault location. No ETR provided yet, but they are addressing this with highest priority.

Please be informed that one of our Site to Datacenter Circuit currently experiencing an outage and we are currently coordinating with our circuit provider to know more about the situation.

Due to the configuration of our network having backup circuits, we expect only partial impact on the internet and network connectivity. This may manifest as slow application performance and intermittent VOIP calls within a 4–5-minute timeframe while automatic failovers/fallback activate.

Please be advised that the affected Datacenter Internet Uplink has been monitored as back up as of 1:33 AM and has remained stable for almost 1 hour.

We are currently coordinating with our service provider to determine the root cause of the issue and are closely monitoring its stability.

The field engineers from the third-party service provider will continue the restoration tonight by 9PM. This is due to Makati City ordinance regarding sub-terranean repairs to only proceed during off peak hours to avoid vehicular traffic congestion.

At present, there should be no impact to all Emapta users connecting both onsite or via VPN since redundancy is in place and has more than enough bandwidth catered all internet traffic.

As per our service provider there was a network outage transmission on the Philippine Backhaul (Makati-Pasig) that failed affecting our circuit. Their third-party provider already deployed field engineers and conducted cable testing at San Agustin St.Cor. H.V Dela Costa Makati, and they measured 24 meters of possible fault. . Further tracing was performed, and the field team found fresh asphalt that needed to be excavated to fix the fiber cut.

Ongoing restoration is being conducted and will continue tonight with ETA of 9PM due to MACEA Policy.

On the other hand, our other available datacenter internet uplink is UP and Stable for internet connection redundancy.

This is to inform you that the emergency fiber optic cable replacement activity by our service provider at one of the uplinks at the SFS site has been completed successfully. The connection was restored at 7:30 PM, and the affected segment has been permanently fixed.

The subject link is currently up on spare fiber and the affected segment needs to be replaced for permanent fix. Due to the link redundancy in place for this site’s network, we only expect partial impact on the internet and network connectivity. This may manifest as slow application performance and intermittent VOIP calls within a 4–5-minute timeframe while automatic failovers/fallback activate.
